The Duolingo English Test is a computer adaptive test that assesses a person's Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking skills. It utilises an integrated approach in grading candidates with scores divided into four integrated subscores - Production, Conversation, Comprehension and Literacy.
While the difficulty of some questions varies dynamically throughout the test, there is no set number of questions. The test ends when the grading engine is confident in your score.
